Vanilla Powder is a distinctive take on vanilla, born from the contrast between the deep intensity of Vanilla Absolute from Madagascar and an overdose of modern white powders. To create the Extrait, Founder and Perfumer Aurélien Guichard selected an exceptional guest ingredient: Tonka Bean Absolute Venezuela.
This perfume is beautiful, but the magic is in the dry down. It lasts all day, and it’s an attention getter.
I recently had the pleasure of sampling Matiere Premiere’s Vanilla Powder Extrait and it is truly beautiful. The smell feels rich, warm, and luxurious, with impressive longevity that lingers elegantly throughout the day. While the extrait is a touch stronger than my personal preference, the quality and composition are undeniable. I’m very much looking forward to trying the original Vanilla Powder once it returns in stock, as I imagine the softer interpretation may suit me perfectly.
